Contemporary Modern

Strong geometry, softened for everyday life.

Designed for a bachelor and his beloved pups, this home pairs an ultra-sleek modern aesthetic with the comfort of his favorite place to unwind and gather with friends. The vision was cool, masculine, and unexpected, with a darker palette and an emphasis on quality.

SMDG collaborated with the architect and builder from the plan stage, shaping the interiors around his lifestyle and art collection. Thoughtful placement and lighting gave each work a considered presence, allowing the art to inform the design and character of the surrounding spaces.

High-end fixtures and comfortable furnishings bring refinement to the home’s bold modern expression. The result is a personal retreat where striking design feels easy to live with, equally suited to quiet evenings with his dogs and relaxed entertaining.
