Low Country Glam

Southern ease, finished with polish.

Inspired by the wife’s Charleston roots and love of glamour, this home brings together the grounded warmth of Lowcountry style and an unexpected, spirited elegance. Designed for a retired couple who love to entertain, it balances the comfort of a private retreat with the graciousness of a home that welcomes friends and family.

SMDG collaborated with the architect and home builder from the beginning, shaping key interior architectural details as the home took form. Hues drawn from the Lowcountry landscape anchor the palette, while expressive patterns and punchy accents reflect the wife’s vibrant personality and appreciation for the finer things.

Meaningful pieces woven throughout give the interiors a collected, deeply personal character. The result is a home rooted in their story—equally suited to quiet days together and lively gatherings with the people they love.
